Walimex 8mm Fish-Eye

I was looking for a fish-eye lens that is not too expensive. A friend of a friend of mine got the Samyang 8mm fish-eye lens from Poland. The pictures and videos taken from that lens are stunning, thinking what price you get it for.

The Walimex 8mm is exactly the same lens excpet the branding. I got it from Amazon for about 270 euros and i am very pleased with this lens.

XExternalEditor 0.8

I finally extended XExternalEditor to version 0.8.

It now includes support for the type ‘edit text’.
It is the feature of the ‘external edit’ that lets you edit wiki text in an external program. I.e. notepad++

Yesterday i released version 0.7 from XExternalEditor, the helper application for the External Editor feature of a MediaWiki.

It incorporates a change in the storage of the settings for a server/wiki installation and a feature to upload a changed file directly after it was saved.

Grab it from sourceforge.net/projects/xexternaleditor/files/0.7

Enjoy the new feature and tell me if something goes wrong.

p.s.: if you wonder why you can’t the icon anymore?: the icon has changed to a more wiki style icon.

As of today my XExternalEditor was downloaded 400 times since it has moved to Sourceforge.net. That was two months ago.

Go on try it yourself and edit a file that was uploaded to a MediaWiki via the the external edit feature.

XExternalEditor – Version 0.6

I just released the newest version of the MediaWiki External Editor ‘XExternalEditor‘. It adds translation posibilities for all gui elements. The default language of the gui is english. A translation for german is already finished. If you wan’t to translate everything to another language you are welcome to do so. Just get the words_de.i18n file from the source code and feel free.

Go get the new version!

With today my Open Source Software – Windows Wallpaper Changer – got past 1600 Downloads.

That is great as i never dreamed of getting over 100.
Thanks to all that responded their usage with the software so it got better and better.
